True position of a point with angle

Post by Anegres1 » Thu Jul 16, 2020 1:09 pm

good day

Where can I modify the nominal value of drawing, to get a real true position

Attachment

Where the drawing and the results are shown. The angles are within Specification, which deduces that the cylinder position is correct, only when creating TP point. the basic distance of 111.0 mm, the software sets another Nominal (110.938 mm)

thank you for your attention

At this point, it APPEARS to me that the problem may be the original definition of the point itself to measure. I'm assuming you picked from CAD and it looks like the pick may have been slightly off. Without the program, I'm guessing.

Double click on the point feature in the Program List and go to the Nominal tab and make sure the feature is defined at that point.

Can you send a copy of the program? cmmmgr.nm@nikon.com

I responded to your email with some instructions to replace True Position of Point with True Position of Cylinder. By only reporting point you are missing angular constraint of feature and could be allowing Out of Tolerance part to escape you inspection process.
