Datum not exacly where i set it at.

Post by quality4 » Wed Aug 28, 2019 3:25 pm

Hello everyone. Heres an issue Ive had a few times over the last two years running cmm manager on a manual brown and sharpe. I will bump out the part, set the datums and then notice that its close, but not exactly where i set it. Any idea why this would happen only from time to time? See pictures below. One is where i have set datums and one is location as compared to supposed datum x,y. I have "set origin to feature" unchecked when aligning. Thanks in advance for any insight you can give!

The correct order for alignment in this case is Level (Plance), Align (line), Set Origin (Point)

Also you NEED to Set Origin to Line , how else to you expect the Line to value of 0.0 in Y unless you set the origin to it?
