Flip Part Question

Post by ALDURAN14 » Thu May 09, 2019 2:34 pm

Hello, I have run into a question while writing a program that would require a move part. I have seen several posts on the topic but most are using a fixture. The part I am trying to program would simply be on posts and is circular so after the flip the part cant really be squared to the same location. my question is how would I go about aligning after the part flip and is it possible to do a free position? Do I create a new reference frame? Any input appreciated

Thank you

Any info discussed here on forum about Move Part should be pertinent whether the part is flipped in fixture or if manual alignment is performed after flipping (moving) part. The software only expects a re-measured alignment after the part moves, it does not care if that alignment is manual or DCC.

I usually refer to Help Files for Move Part operation since I use it infrequently enough that I need a reminder of the correct process each time.
