Where can one find inexpensive CMM fixture plating?

Post by Justin » Mon Mar 04, 2019 11:47 am

I've been trying to get an (approx) 18x18 gridplate for the CMM at my work. I am in desperate need of one, and we are currently in a budget crunch. I know these typically run about $1,000+ but I would like to know if there is a place where they could be found used or at discount. I also would like to ask if there would be any hard in utilizing a CNC fixture plate for the time being.

Go look at the plates in Edmund Scientific that are used for setting up bench optics and lasers. Good price.

HS&S is selling a kit that I looked at a bit at a recent trade show. Seems nice for the money. you can reach them at info@hsands.com.
