File Permissions and Protection

Post by US_Helpdesk » Tue May 09, 2017 10:55 am

It is possible to configure CMM-Manager software in a manner that prevents access or allows restricted access. For example it is possible to restrict access such that user can only open and run programs, thus preventing unwanted program editing.

These restrictions can be enabled as Global setting in Preferences or by individual Project / Program properties.

Global Preference - General Permissions - This is accessed via System Pearl>Preferences>General>General Permissions as shown below:
Project / Program Properties - File Security - This is accessed via System Pearl>File Security
Note: It is also possible to save Project and Program file. Project is default file type that allows open, edit, running, etc. While a Program is a file that once saved can only be opened and run, it will not allow editing by virtue of file type. When saving as Program (.PRG) be sure to save backup copy of Project (.CMP) as well.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
