Various settings in Preference tab

Post by Automeasure » Tue Mar 15, 2016 11:15 am

I start to go through all settings in the preference tab to understand how some small but very useful details affect programming. I can figure out most of the settings but some are not very clear to me, so let's focus on 1 at a time:

Under General->Program Running, "Do not adjust actual feature to nominal feature before reference frame is complete", anyone has tried this (on/off)?

Hello,

This preference is used mostly for arm applications in which the normal can be difficult to predict prior to having a fully determinate reference frame when the part is in a new location from the last run. Once a determinate reference frame is established, the preference has no impact.

Another question in the same tab, just one above:

Auto align part during program execution

Does it refer to cad<->part sync. ?

When turned on this will cause entire program including CAD and probe paths to update to location of first determinant Ref Frame during program execution. In almost all cases, do not turn this off.
