Program R&R

Post by craftdls66 » Mon Dec 28, 2015 5:10 pm

Has anyone done a R&R on a program? Or is it a normal thing to do like a Gage R&R?
I have done these in previous companies that I have worked for, but this company I am working for now is confused by the idea. Can someone help me to explain, and if it really isn't a necessity, please explain to me?

Thank you so much for any help

Hello,

There is a NIST test that can be ran with the software to check the fitting algorithms within the software. This test shouldn't need to be ran more than once. Details in the link below:

As for the CMM, it would depend entirely on the requirements of the company and customers. To varying degrees, CMM's do change over time, so many companies and customers require regular calibration, and some require R&R studies as well.
