Vector direction of a measured line

Post by Murguel » Tue Aug 14, 2018 8:30 am

Dear Team,

how to influence the direction of a line/vector during measurement?

I am measuring a line but would like to define the direction of its vector during measurement. For instance:

Measure first point 1 then point 2. Vector = plus
Measure first point 2 then point 1. Vector = minus

Is something like that possible?

You can control this behavior from Preferences as shown below. Notice, with this option turned off the normal direction is determined automatically by software and will remain constant even when running the program assuming the part is at similar orientation from one run to the next.
