Execute DMIS file with no Manual Alignment

Post by US_Helpdesk » Wed Sep 17, 2014 3:20 pm

It is possible to run a DMIS file that starts immediately in DCC and does not contain a Manual Alignment.

First load the .DMIS file and then measure and save and Alignment - i.e. do a 3-2-1 Alignment and then Save with name "D321"

Now in the DMIS editor add the line “RECALL/DA(D321)” near the top of the program (before measured features)

Finally execute the program. The previously measured Alignment will be recalled in the DMIS program execution.

Another option is to add a "Point Zero" Alignment to the DMIS code. This is similar to the Free Position Alignment in native CMM-Manager, except you actually measure a point vs. simply placing the probe in the specified location.

Here is an example of the DMIS code you could insert before the DCC portion of the program. Keep in mind the Point Zero must be coincident to the initial Ref Frame of the DMIS code.

Code: Select all

MODE/MAN
TEXT/OPER,'MOVE TO POINT ZERO'
F(PNT_0)=FEAT/POINT,CART,0.0000,0.0000,0.0000,0.000000,0.000000,1.000000
MEAS/POINT,F(PNT_0),0
ENDMES
D(PZCS_0)=TRANS/XORIG,FA(PNT_0),YORIG,FA(PNT_0),ZORIG,FA(PNT_0)
MODE/MAN
TEXT/OPER,'MOVE TO SAFE POSITION'
MODE/AUTO,PROG,MAN
