CAD conversion module

Post by lcray30 » Wed Aug 19, 2015 9:27 am

I tried to import an iges model and I got this error

Error initializing the CAD conversion module. Please check that Nikon Metrology Cad Converter is properly installed.

MCadConverterWrapper.MCadConverterWrapper:CoCreateInstanceFailed ()
MErrorCom.MErrorCom: ($hresult="800401f3h", $message="Invalid class string")

I downloaded 3.5 and installed it. Did I forget to move this certain file if so where can I find it so I can move it?

Did you install the CAD converter that was bundled with 3.5?

after playing around I found that if I turn off pre processing in the preferences I can load the igs file. however, it is unusable.

some more info here.

the CMM im having problems with is a LK DCC on windows xp 32bit. cad will not load unless I turn off preprocessing, but if I do that the cad is unusable.

I just finished the update on my manual bright-m 707 running on windows 7 64bit with no problems. cad will load even with preprocessing turned on.

You might want to send an email to help desk as well. Depending on who's looking at the forums today, you might get a faster answer there.

I notice your system with XP32 does not work with Spatial Importer (pre-processing option) I assume this system will not import STEP files or other Native formats as well?

It seems this latest version of Spatial Importer is not compatible with WinXP 32 bit. You may need to update the OS or PC on this system.
