Help - Error AB50

Post by BPSCMM » Wed Aug 27, 2014 5:27 am

We had a power outage last night and the CMM is now loud and the controller is showing error AB50. We do have a surge protector. CMM is a Mitutoyo Briaght Apex A910. What could this be? How can I correct?

Did you look here for the Error Message?

I did a search and nothing came up in light of the Error, but I was searching specifically for the AB50.

We did figure this out, but this may be helpful to some other newbies out there. AB50 was not necessarily an error, but the location the "home position" is. During the power outage all was shut down, and the CMM was disconnected to the CMM manager program. It needed to be "connected" by the button on the ribbon tab, and homed. Also the loud noise was the fan restarting and usually it is not as loud as it was, so that will be something we monitor when we restart each Monday am. It is quiet again, and was quiet within 15 minutes.
