Re: Exporting keyboard shortcut keys after updating

This has been bugging me for a while too.

1. The helpdesk file doesn't save them.
2. Exporting the environment by itself won't do it.
3. Exporting the layout doesn't do it either. :(

Re: Fixed Radius Circle?

After some experimentation with measuring partial arc locations a few years back I did find a technique that worked. Your mentioning best-fit to do this is right on par with how it works. 1. Set up your coordinate system and sync to it. 2. Create a nominal point at the origin. 3. Measure the arc as ...

Yikes! - you may also want to change the elevation angle on this tool.

Re: Min/ Max difference formula for measured point sets

Oops...here is a better version that lets you do your inputs outside of the logic. ================================================================ 'FIND MAX T DEV OF POINT GROUP ''''''declaration of variables: paste this block only once in your cmm-m program Dim i Dim p(1 to 200) Dim out Dim StartP...

Re: Min/ Max difference formula for measured point sets

Hi John, You would have to change the GetReportInfo line but this may do what you want. =================================================== Dim i Dim k Dim p(1 to 4) Dim out for i = 1 to 4 p(i) = GetReportInfo("POINT" & i, "3D", 3) next i for k = 1 to 3 if abs(p(k)) > abs(p(k+1)) then p(k+1) = abs(p...

Re: Combining multiple clouds for faster measurement

When measuring a cloud, from the measure cloud dialogue box you can go to the points tab and 'add a pick' and pick points all over the model (even points not on the original surface). After that you can hit, esc then create path and all the points are in one cloud at that point.

Re: Slot with Separate Position Tolerances

Look for bilateral position:
RIBBON>REPORT>BILATERAL POSITION

It looks like the symbol for position with a red bowtie under it. In the dialog box you are able to select the radio button for which axis you wish to evaluate.

Re: true position of a distance?

Like most things in Y14.5, these situations are confusing at first. Paragraph 7.4.5 begins the topic of "Noncircular Features of Size". Long story short, the way to evaluate the position of a 'slot' (in this case) is to find its center plane and calculate the position of that. (Fig. 7-31, and 7-33 i...

Re: CONE NOT PERPENDICULAR TO PLANE

Shallow cones are tough, not just in CMM Manager. I have found that CMM Manager does a better job with cones if you measure them as at least 3 circular sections. If this doesn't resolve your problem, you could try measuring the cone as slices of lines and create intersect points with the top surface...

Can you post a pic of the last traditional alignment sequence that happens before the report composite command?
