Paths Not Updating

I have a question about paths not updating. For example I select a plane to measure. The default plane settings needed to be adjusted to match my needs. So I delete default points and then add new points to fit my part needs. Once i change those my paths for features after are not updating. Like if ...

Re: Reporting Composite Position

I understand the constrained datum A. I guess in my post i meant not sure why the engineers made the drawing this way. I am currently using RPS Alignment. All is good there. Main question is on my composite position callout out it has a 3.0 mm call out to ABC which I have. The lower portion of that ...

Reporting Composite Position

Hello, I am having some trouble trying to report some features as composite position. I know this has been discussed many of times, but still not sure how to set up my particular part. To start, my company builds prototype automotive sub frames. The datum structure is a little different than most i ...

Re: Reporting Surface Profile using Cloud to Cad Best Fit

Not to try and hijack but had a question about this. In the example the ref frame is local to part. If my ref frame was off of part would i want to do best fit to CAD and then lock all constraints if i had a profile call out back to ABC? Also another call out back to A-B, so i would do as example 2 ...

Re: RPS Alignment

I think i figured it out. I changed it so Z is locked by 4 points, xy circle is origin, and slot is locked in X not Y. Thanks

Re: RPS Alignment

Ok so i measured 4 points (datum targets for z) measured the x,y circle and finally the slot for y. When i put those features in RPS alignmnent window using 4 points to lock Z (yes over constrained) the circle for x,y and finally the slot for y i get two wi dows. One asking if im sure i want to over...

Cannot Connect to GPIB Probe Controller

Hello, I have been having some issues and figured I would reach out on here and see if anyone has had this problem or knows what could be wrong. For quite some time I have been running CMM Manager on a 32 bit system. It has worked fine other then when I try to import larger CAD files i have some iss...

Re: RPS Alignment

medupriest,
Thanks for the help. I have typically probed the part itself in the past mainly because of the reasons you have stated. thanks for helping out.

Re: RPS Alignment

OK i was just over thinking this. Most of the datum targets have separate call outs ex. profile or flatness i would just have to measure separate from datum structure. On another note, ( I know this has been brought up before) but my part sits on 4 stands clamped to my CMM fixture plate. Is it a bad...
