Problems with the cross calibration process

Hello, I am currently using CMM Manager 3.6 with an iNEXIV VMA and I am having major issues trying to do the cross calibration procedure. I have calibrated everything else in regards to the camera and the touch probe but when I run the cross calibration, it will always fail. In the attached picture ...

Issue calibrating .7mm/.5mm ball probe

Hello everyone, I'm having an issue when calibrating my newly built .7mm and .5mm ball probes. I run CMM Manager 3.6, and every time I run the probe calibration I'm getting an error that says this (See attached picture). I have double and triple checked all my numbers when building the probe and I h...

Re: (Advanced users) Help creating an advanced surface

You can revenge this part without measuring thousands of points, here is a rough idea how to do it... 1. Measure points in cross sections. A. Note: Turn probe comp off, write down the stylus radius for later. B. Note: Use project option when measuring points to ensure all points are coplanar. 2. Ex...

Re: (Advanced users) Help creating an advanced surface

I know you can export the points you collect as an IQCAD but I know that cannot be opened in solidworks or proE. Not sure if other software will open it. Well I've tried taking a manual cloud of points and exported it as an .iges file, and I am able to load that newly created .iges file into Solidw...

(Advanced users) Help creating an advanced surface

Hey guys, A quick backdrop on myself, I am a 1 year self-taught CMM Programmer using CMM Manager 3.6 on a Nikon iNEXIV VMA, so my knowledge is somewhat limited. A customer sent me the hot half and ejector half cavities for a "potato chip" molding surface and wanted to know if it is possible for me t...

Re: Calibrating TP20 Probe using DCC

In the Probe Assembly dialog box where the geometry is defined, in the middle section... 1. Make sure that you have not accidentally selected TP20, when you should have selected TP20 module 5W. It maybe could be a 'direction of ram normal' from the machine setup or maybe the post height from your c...

Calibrating TP20 Probe using DCC

Hello everyone, I'm currently having some problems when I try to calibrate newly built probes along with already established probes. I am running CMM Manager 3.6 and whenever I try to use the DCC to automatically calibrate my probe tips using the tooling ball, probe will always crash on the Z axis. ...

Need help using multiple probes

Hello Everyone, I'm currently trying to inspect a part to the customer's desires, and they require me to check various features with specific size probes. The first part of my program runs smoothly but then once it goes to get the other probe to inspect the smaller features, I just get a y-limit err...

How do you "Get Tip" for vision

Hello,
I was wondering how you switch over from touch probe to vision and have it added to the program. I don't seem to remember.

Thanks
