Re: Rename probe assy

This must be done from UCC. The full synchronization with UCC will pull in the tool names and properties.

This is all assuming you are using version 3.7SP2 or later.

Re: Reporting Composite Position

It is not a function I use very often. Any chance you could zip and send me the project file so I can give it a look?

I do know that CMM-Manager is a bit picky when it comes to custom reference frames, but I suspect we can find a solution.

Re: Solved - Exporting keyboard shortcut keys after updating

Hurray. You can put those frustrations to bed. I learned a couple of new things regarding key shortcuts. If you want to print out a report of all of your keyboard shortcuts so you don't have to remember them, you can do that by clicking on the button shown below. You both may already know this, but ...

Re: Exporting keyboard shortcut keys after updating

It is because things that are tied to the Windows User, don't get captured I suppose. I am not sure if there is a way for us to do this, but I will find out and will keep you posted.

Re: Reporting Composite Position

In regards to Datum -A- being over constrained, it is just because of the 4th point. It is practically impossible that those 4 points will be exactly co-planar. This meant that CMM-Manager is going to have some element of Best-Fitting, and so provides the warning. RPS is the way to go. If your Compo...

Re: Exporting keyboard shortcut keys after updating

I am unsure whether or not they do get moved, but what file are you importing.

If you create a helpdesk file from the pearl, and import it into the other seat of software by importing the configuration, and it doesn't work, then I suspect there is not a way to export the key-bindings.

Re: RPS Alignment

Check the axis locks at the bottom of the dialog. The overconstrainment is normal. This will occur whenever there is going to be any deviation and a 4-point plane will always do that. When you see the yellow preview reference frame appear on top of your CAD reference frame (or close to it) you shoul...

Re: Fixed Radius Circle?

This would undermine the fitting algorithms. There is a construction of a circle tangent to two lines with a set diameter, but not to a cloud. There is likely a VB solution if you would like to provide more details.

Re: Projecting Measured Point

on a straight pulley (no bevel or helix) I would think the result would be accurate. We do similar constructions when we need to get a theoretical gauge ball height seated in a cone.

Re: Cannot Connect to GPIB Probe Controller

Have you been working from the install guide viewtopic.php?f=10&t=262? It is a supported configuration.
